Someone searched ‘Darren Criss defines awesome’ and got to my blog. Whoever that was, I love you.

Your favorite song– I have lots of favorite songs. If I had to choose, though, I guess it’d have to be Kings and Queens- 30 Second to Mars
Your least favorite song– Anything and everything Justin Beiber has or will sing.
A song that makes you happy– Stacy’s Mom. It’s just such a silly song, and it reminds me of when I did cheerleading, because they always played it at competitions, before the awards.
A song that makes you sad– Because of You- Kelly Clarkson It’s a sad song, and it reminds me of my mom.
A song that reminds you of someone– Every song reminds me of someone. I have an internal playlist for every one of my friends.
A song that reminds of you of somewhere– None. Songs don’t remind me of places, because places aren’t important to me. it doesn’t matter where you are, as long as you have people you love around you.
A song that reminds you of a certain event– This One’s For the Girls- Martina McBride. Reminds me of my first day of high school.
A song that you know all the words to– La Vie Boheme! I just haven’t crossed it off of my list yet, is all.
A song that you can dance to– Grease Lightnin’– Grease Soundtrack
A song that makes you fall asleep– 100 Suns- 30 Seconds to Mars. Rock makes me sleepy, I don’t know.
A song from your favorite band– Glee doesn’t really count as a band, though.
A song from a band you hate– Bad Romance- Lady Gaga. I can’t stand her. And yet, i know the words to at least two of her songs.
A song that is a guilty pleasure– This is Me. I hate Camp Rock, I really do. But I can’t hate that damn song! Grr…
A song that no one would expect you to love– You are Loved- Josh Groban
A song that describes you– Um… Pretty Fly for a White Guy, I guess.
A song that you used to love but now hate– Anything by the Jonas Brothers. Sorry Lily.

And yes, I am aware that Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber link to MySpace. They’re too lame to get a nice link.

So, I decided to do I Could Have Danced All Night for my audition, as you know. So I’ve been listening to a bunch of versions, and guess who also sang this song?
- He’s dead.
- You Love him.
- He was one hot biscuit when he was younger.
Yes, Frank Sinatra. It’s actually not that bad, considering it’s a total girl song.
I’m looking forward to a few things, actually. Preperations for the musical start this month, for starters! I emptied my phone battery by watching a bunch of videos of songs i want to do for auditions. I’ve narrowed it down to five songs:
- What You Own- Rent
- Tomorrow- Annie
- I Could Have Danced All Night– My Fair Lady
- I Feel Pretty- West Side Story
- To Sir, With Love– To Sir, With love
I have found karaoke versions of the first two songs, so those are more likely to get chosen right now, but I’ve only been looking for a day or so. I filled up my calender yesterday with my friends’ birthdays, sleepovers, and Musical preparations. Once the schedule for our class’s second show, it’s going to be even more full, the poor thing! But it’s worth it, because I love acting, I love my friends, and I love the Music man, which is this year’s musical, in case I forgot to mention that earlier.
I am also looking forward to turning 18, which is 4 months from today. I’ll be a grown up, finally! And a couple months after that I’ll have my license, and I’ll be two huge steps closer to freedom!

Hmm… A time when i was most proud of myself? In 2010? The musical. I am not a very ‘out there’ kind of person. I can’t stand the thought of someone judging me. So for me to stand up in front of friends, family, AND strangers, singing and dancing? Kind of a big thing for me. I love singing, so much so that if I’m around people who would not enjoy an impromptu concert, I mouth the words to myself. But for some reason, I get nervous around people, and on a stage. Same with dancing. I’m pretty good with choreographed dances, but combined with the stage, and the singing… It just is way overwhelming. But I did it! I got up there and sang my heart out, and danced until my feet hurt really, really bad.
Yeah, either the musical, or this year in Algebra, when I finally understood what it was we were doing instantly. Moseley even used MY paper as an answer key! MY PAPER!

I never thought I’d find an all time favorite song, let alone on that was popular with other people my age (We as a whole have shitty taste. it’s okay. Embrace it!), but I can’t help but love Just the Way You Are. Bruno Mars has always amoosed me, ever since they were on Saturday Night Live, but I was pretty much indifferent, as far as songs go. But this song is pretty much perfect. It’s my go to shower song, my go to sad and wanna feel happy song, my everything song! Such a good song, so cute. The fact that Finn sang it to Kurt has nothing to do with it, surprisingly enough!
My phone… is… DEAD!!! I have no way to listen to music outside of class now, no way to text Willow when i see something funny, no way to ignore people I don’t like be pretending that my music’s too high to hear them!! Wah!!!!!!!!!!! I actually had to say ‘hi’ to people before, people I have successfully ignored this whole year, so far. Ugh. So in order to make up for my abrupt disconnection from the world, I will be posting a lot more posts today then usual.
Hey, can anyone in Drama tell me if we need to have our monologues printed out? I know we’re only required to have one finished, but if we’re supposed to turn it in, I can’t just hand him my laptop and say ‘good luck!’. So…
I hate school. I really do. I just want to be done, you know? I just want to be able to stop ‘preparing’ for things that are completely pointless, and will most likely never affect my life. I mean really, when is the Industrial Revolution ever going to come up in normal everyday life? NEVER. I just want to work for a few years and save up some cash, buy a little place somewhere quiet, and live out my days reading, writing, and watching Glee with Willow. Is that really such a heinous thing to want? Is it so bad that I don’t want to cure cancer, or discover some crazy new technology? But, I digress.
My subconscious is a FREAK! Last night I had the oddest dream. It was at Elena’s house, and her dad was making dinner, and he just starting carving up puppies like they were pumpkins, or something! And they were still alive, and everything. And then we were at a barbecue, and Beth was a cheerleader, but the whorish kind, not the normal kind, and she was dancing around, and then she fell off of the table. Yup. And people think I’m so normal, too.
